Traditional Acupuncture, The Law of the Five ElementsTraditional Acupuncture, the Law of the Five Elements by Dianne Connelly. Written in 1975 and updated in 1994, this is still the best book on (Traditional) Five Element Acupuncture. Dianne covers all the basics with beautiful, flowing style, well organized chapters and even case histories. This is the best book to deepen your Acupuncture education and you will be going back to it over and over again. Appropriate for all levels of knowledge and interest in Acupuncture.

Between Heaven and Earth

Between Heaven and Earth: a Guide to Chinese Medicine by Harriet Beinfield & Efrem Korngold. This is another classic. Well written, it is perfect for deeper exploration into Traditional Chinese Medicine basic laws and practice. Organized in three parts, the book offers elaborate information on theory, Five Element types and therapy with detailed description and list of Chinese Herbs and their use. Appropriate for all levels of knowledge and interest in Acupuncture.

The Acupuncture Handbook The Acupuncture Handbook: How Acupuncture Works and How It Can Help You by Angela Hicks. This could be the best introductory book on Traditional Acupuncture. In 14 easy chapters, author covers topics from “who is Acupuncture for” and “what does Acupuncture treat” to basic theory, diagnosis and even selection of practitioner. Well written while assuming the reader comes with no previous knowledge of Acupuncture at all, this is the best Acupuncture book for those starting the discovery of Chinese Medicine and though.

The Web That Has No Weaver The Web That Has No Weaver by Ted Kaptchuk. This book is used as a text book in many Acupuncture schools. The writer has a tremendous knowledge of both Eastern and Western Medicine, demonstrated over and over as we move through 10 chapters of detailed principles, concepts and differences Traditional Chinese Medicine offers.
